The Favlalunga is 100% Vespolina aged in stainless steel. Many things to love here but right off the bat, on the nose, you smell Piedmont; what is all too often mistaken for the textbook characteristics of Nebbiolo, should be more attuned to the roaming truffle laced hills. That feint herb and quasi tootsie roll essence, wrapped around mushroomy earth and sage. The major distinguishable difference is in the body; much lighter than Nebbiolo with a fresher acid and more lively cherry component
