Grand Tasting: Massive Portuguese Wine Tasting
If I have to meet another person who went to Portugal on vacation I just make a massive tasting about it!! Portugal is having a moment but for some reason, the wines are not keeping up. Such a vast display across the small country yet varied, historic and monumental in so many ways. Arguably the best value wines in the world and the most undiscovered. Grand Tasting: Wines from Sicily
Here @ Some Good Wine, we love Sicily. So many producers, so little time and we can't even begin naming all of the exciting things happening in this fabled land.
What captures people's attention about Sicilian wines immediately is the way they literally seem to awaken the senses. There is a spiny nerve ingrained that is non-tangential, individualized and philosophically contemplative on a Nietzschean scale.
Sicilian wines have gone through an extremely strange history; almost non-existent 20 years ago and now unfortunately showcased by a lot of mass production Nero d'Avola. What it needed was rock stars of Hendrix status to showcase small production, artisanal and natural quality that can truly capture and transcend the distinct terroir existent in Sicily.
