2022 Clos Culombu Vermentino

The term "saline" or "salinity" gets thrown around quite a bit these days, which can connote a number of things, generally speaking, close to water grown vines which tend to embody a salty, fine tuned elegance.  For some, like this wine, a whiff into the glass feels like one is transported to the beach; lying in the sands of Corsica and watching Napoleon metaphorically being born.  The wine is light but substantive not of your beach friendly, let's play volleyball variety.  I'm talking meat and depth.  A wine with character, poignancy and numerous elements of life and vitality.  It is the kind of wine that gets in your crosshairs within the first smells and let's you know this is serious yet delicious.
