35% Niellucciu, 35% Grenache, 15% Sciacarellu and 15% Syrah. Aged one year in stainless steel, then in large foudres (wood barrels) for another year, and finally cellar-aged in bottle for at least six months before release. A great compromise of a wine here, something of an amalgamation of a Southern Rhone Grenache based mix with Tuscan Sangiovese components. Lush nose with lots of black fruit and that unique, identifiable Sangiovese cherry, with tar and scorching earth undertones. Tangy elements in the mouth are a nice surprise that delicate tames the fruit flavors.
