Her essays and articles, whether about wine, life, and culture, have appeared in a slew of newspapers and magazines, including The New York Times, New York Magazine, Time, AFAR, and World of Fine Wine, and she is a regular contributor to the beloved zine, Noble Rot. Called “The Queen of Natural Wine” by Jancis Robinson, she is known as the foremost champion of natural wine. Author of six books, her most recent is To Fall in Love Drink This, a wine writer’s memoir, working backwards the others? Natural Wine for the People, Dirty Guide to Wine, For the Love of Wine, Naked Wine: Letting Grapes Do What Comes Naturally, and her controversial 2008 debut, The Battle for Wine & Love or How I Saved the World from Parkerization. She is a very proud recipient of France’s Ordre du Mérite Agricole and has just returned from Provence where she was a fellow at Maison Dora Maar to work on a memoir. Alice lives in New York in a vintage 4th floor walkup with a tub in the kitchen from which she publishes her Substack, The Feiring Line.
